Exercise: Panning with different shutter speeds

Rowing on the River Dee, Aberdeen
Image 3727 taken on 14.1.2012, 1/60second, f4, ISO100
The image is still clear with reflections showing in the river. The movement of the boat is shown by its wake.
Image 3756, 1/10second, f10, ISO100
The picture is blurred, the wake indicates the direction of the boats movement. The rowers bodies moved. Streaks of paddles show.

Cyclist

Image 3732, 1/20second, f10, ISO100
I saw the cyclist only by chance. the picture is blurred from the movement of the camera

Vehicles in the distance

Image 3728, 1/60 second, f20,ISO100
The car not quite frozen, the person has moved at a different speed, the buildings in the background are blurred

Image 3731, 1/30 second, f32, ISO100
the beginnings of streaking in the buildings occur

Image 3733, 1/20second, f8, ISO100
The bus is allmost sharp, some streaking occurs in the trees and buildings

Plane
Image 3557,1/8second, f32
This image was taken on 5.1.2012 under the flightpass for Aberdeen airport. It turned out that I was in the wrong location to get streaks, though the long exposure and panning created a result of interest.

Seabirds

Image 3779, 1/160second, f6.3, ISO100
The shutter speed is not fast enough to get bird sharp, the rockface is blurred.

Image 3791, 1/40 second, f10
the bird is only just recognisable as one, the cliffs in the back are streaked

Image 3810,1/10second, f22
The image turned in this instance into two birds joined.
